District Manager - Livingston Parish
The Advocate has an opening in the Circulation department for a full-time District Manager position in Livingston Parish.
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The District Manager oversees distribution of newspaper products to independent contractors (carriers), acts as a liaison between customers and carriers to eliminate and resolve delivery problems, delivers routes when necessary, replaces incomplete, damaged, torn or wet newspapers and collects unsold newspapers at retail outlets all within a designated district. Hours vary and can start as early as midnight. Clean driving record required.
Required Education, Prior Work Experience & Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
Successful candidate should have at least two years of experience in the circulation field. Knowledge of circulation and previous managerial experience required. Knowledge of customer service quality service standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques. Must have working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and the internet. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs repeatedly. The successful candidate should have excellent communication, math, and critical thinking skills.
